I Graduated from University of Guelph in 1978 with an Honors B.Sc. Agr., and in 1984 with Honors D.V.M.. I worked at various veterinary clinics after graduation, including Barrie Veterinary Hospital with Dr. Lloyd Fisher for almost 10 years. I started my own hospital, Ivy Veterinary Services in October of 1997, with the help of my husband Roger. I consider myself to be a truly multi-faceted practitioner with 28 years of experience providing care for dogs, cats, birds of all types (Avian), exotics, reptiles and pocket pets. I own 4 home bred Canadian Sport Horses, 5 dogs, and many cats. My hobbies are riding, skating, boating and swimming, karaoke, and acting like a redneck at NASCAR races. My favorite NASCAR driver is Kevin Harvick ( # 4). Ron Sexsmith and Billy Currington are 2 of my favorite singer/ songwriters. Roger and I have been married for 29 years. We have 2 boys Brandon and Dallas, and are proud grandparents of Raiden and Jaxson Emms ( Dallas’s boys!).
