We are located 1 mile north of the Village of Ivy, just outside of Barrie, Ontario. Ivy Veterinary Services provides quality care to dogs, cats, pocket pets (mice, hamsters, rats, guinea pigs, rabbits, ferrets, and degus), all varieties of birds (large and small), and reptiles of all types. We are a full-service clinic, providing preventive and diagnostic health care, dental treatment, and surgeries on-site. Additionally, we are able to provide nutritional counseling and have a wide-range of food choices available.
Ivy Veterinary Services also provides in house blood testing, x-rays, ultrasound exams, electrocautery, and Theralase cold laser therapy to enhance healing and provide pain relief for arthritis and post surgical conditions. If cases require a specialist, referrals are sent to the University of Guelph, Ontario Veterinary College (OVC) , and to the Toronto Emergency Veterinary Hospital (TVEH). Routine wellness exams and heartworm and tick borne disease testing are sent out to Healthgene or IDEXX laboratories. Coggins (EIA) Testing is done through IDEXX labs.
My veterinary practice also provides boarding and grooming facilities for dogs, cats and birds. The cages and runs are very spacious, clean, and bright, and we walk the dogs who are boarding with us in our fields at least 5 to 6 times per day.
To ensure that I can provide services even to those clients who are unable to drive, or who have multiple pets, I offer an Accredited Housecall Mobile service for your convenience!
